If your certificate validates on some of the “Known Compatible” platforms but not others, the problem may be a web server misconfiguration.
From October 2021 onwards, only those platforms that trust ISRG Root X1 will validate Let’s Encrypt certificates ( with the exception of Android). Prior to September 2021, some platforms could validate our certificates even though they don’t include ISRG Root X1, because they trusted IdenTrust’s “DST Root CA X3” certificate. One question is naturally how to fix this, the other is that I would appreciate an explanation as to what is happening to better understand it.The main determining factor for whether a platform can validate Let’s Encrypt certificates is whether that platform trusts ISRG’s “ISRG Root X1” certificate. For example, in the activated session: (hf4) E:\py_envs>where pipĬ:\Users\local user\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python38\Scripts\pip.exe It seems a maybe related issue, is that anything I have installed on my system python is also available. What I don't understand is that I can then run pip and it is there during the activated environment. I do this but then get the following error: Error: Command '' returned non-zero exit status 101. Python3 -m venv /path/to/new/virtual/environment Then I follow the 3.8 documentation which shows: I installed python3.8 from downloading it on pythons website. python 3.8 venv missing activate command However, I am confused on how to solve it on windows, and what is happening. I found similar posts, mostly related to linux on venv having an issue with working.
